GDPR – The General Data Protection Regulations – went live on 25th May this year.
One of the core objectives was to give people more power over how their data is stored and used and to reduce the amount of spam from legitimate businesses (no law will ever stop the overseas illegal spam – only your spam filter can help there).
Well I don’t know about you, but I have received more emails from companies I haven’t heard from in months, if not years, as everyone seemed to join the mad scramble to become “GDPR compliant”. What a nonsense!
Karen Cheeseman from Privacy Trust will be joining us at the Hub to dispel the hype and explain what you need to have in place. She will also give an update on how GDPR is impacting businesses and what the benefits of being GDPR compliant really are.
